Chirper Overview
goldendaural, otherwise known as Chirper, is a journal-based solution and alternative to the social networking phenomenon Twitter, moderated by chirper of the Endeavor Talent Agency.
The agency is proud to be the first on the cutting edge of merging the quick-and-easy, live and spontaneous feeds of chatter into our clients' friends pages, eliminating the hassle of staying on top of separate accounts on separate servers, while still providing yet another mode of interactive communication among friends (or "followers", to use a Twitter term) within the agency's cyberactive community.
Share your every current happening, momentary thought, temporary mood, the brief joke you just heard in the waiting line at Starbucks... Whatever and whenever.
Staying in touch with your friends has never been easier, finding new opportunities to make new friends has never been less stressful, and for those of our clients who disavow AIM, welcome to a whole new way of networking, socializing and keeping in touch.

Chirper Info, Tips and Tricks
I. Basics - The basic idea behind Chirper is to keep your friends (and possible new friends) in the community updated on what is happening in your life as it is happening. Where you are, who you're with, what you're doing, what you're thinking, etc.
- It is a great tool for comment interactions, especially for clients who prefer not to use an AIM screenname, or for clients who have very large social circles to keep in touch with. It's another great resource for making new friends when initiating a chat on AIM might seem intimidating.
- Many users also take advantage of the Chirper network as a short-format blogging alternative (instead of updating with much lengthier posts in a character's journal - the choice dependent on a character's personality and/or mood).
II. Shhh! Silencing the Chirps As the community grows and the usage of Chirper becomes more and more frequent, it may get too cluttered on your friends pages for your liking. So for clients who prefer to avoid the jungle of crowded "chirping" thoughts on their friends page and to access Chirps directly via goldendaural instead, you may either manually remove GoldEndaural from your watch list, or take advantage of the separate quick-add that is available with the Client Directory. Or, you may follow these instructions on setting custom viewing options for your friends page: ( Read more... )
III. Following Chirper By User and Linking to Your Chirps At the top of the goldendaural webpage, there is this link: "who's using Chirper?" Following the link will bring you to a list of entry tags, ordered by Chirper users and usage. Clicking on any link on the list will show all of a particular client's "Chirps", from past to present. These links will also enable you to link all of your own Chirps directly from your own journal (see the top of ashtonkuter's journal for an example).
IV. Endaural v.s. Entourage Especially since journal updates are not a requirement at Arigolden, when characters choose to update with something a little more substantial than a few lines of a song or their thoughts, it seems not only courteous, but a show of communal interest, that these writings are given a chance to be acknowledged, read, and possibly appreciated. A common problem with larger communities is a friends page that moves too quickly, which pushes posts off the "first page" and makes them more likely to be missed by members of the community who may not visit their friends page on a daily basis.
To balance out the difference of interests (some players prefer a faster-moving friends page, and some prefer a more relaxed pace), two separate quick-add's are managed by the agency - one that includes Chirper and OOC posts on your friends page, and one without. The latter gives members the opportunity to filter what they might be "in the mood for" by allowing the option of visiting GoldEndaural for up to date occurrences and activity, while still being able to return to their friends page at a slightly later time to focus on the more substantial posts of Arigolden's members. Every member of the community can write, but on the other hand of that is the interest to read as well, and that's what sets being in a community apart from writing in a PSL - an ideal of shared discourse.
Thus, the agency recommends that all posts shorter than a substantial paragraph - be they portions of lyrics, miscellaneous thoughts, quick YouTube links, photographs/images, call-out's for new friends/IM's, promos for an upcoming event, announcements, etc. - are to be made through goldendaural.
The sharing of music and videos, general open-ended questions that are meant to engage community-wide discussions, and comprehensive press releases may be made in goldentourage. While the difference may be close to negligible and far from something anybody needs to worry about, we hope the general guideline will be followed as best as possible so that Arigolden can continue to cater to the varied interests and comforts of all its members.
The agency would like to thank Mr. Kutcher for the generous offering of his time and ideas toward the founding and maintaining of this fresh and unique idea.
